The purpose of this event is to raise funds to alleviate starvation in the world through the work of the Canadian Food Grains Bank. All donations are matched 4:1 by the Federal Government organization CIDA.   Many entertainers perform at discounted rates and the event is solely run and organized by hundreds volunteers. 

Due to tireless fundraising efforts by volunteers throughout the year, all costs associated with the festival are funded before the events begin; ensuring that EVERY CENT donated during the festival goes directly to the Food Grains Bank. While all festivities are free, we strongly encourage you to consider a donation worthy of this cause and the high caliber entertainment you'll enjoy this weekend.
